Message From Admissions

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in McKinley Tech High School

Selecting the right high school can be an overwhelming and scary experience for some, while it can be a no-brainer for others. No matter how this season presents to you, I am here to support you as you explore what high school can be like at McKinley Tech.

Here, at McKinley Tech, you will have the unique opportunity to explore the best in STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). However, we are so much more than just a STEM school. We pride ourselves on having comprehensive offerings in athletics, extracurricular clubs and activities, college and career exploration, student leadership opportunities, visual and performing arts, and so much more.

I challenge you to take notes on what you value in your high school experience as you go through the very important process of selecting a high school. Is it a nationally recognized STEM Education? Is it an atmosphere of excellence? A place with endless possibilities to succeed? Is it an environment where you will be loved, challenged, and prepared for your future? Ask yourself, what do I value?

The experiences you can receive at McKinley Tech will be like no other in Washington, DC. At McKinley the people you will meet, and the opportunities that are available, will prepare you for a future that will set you apart from others. Upon graduation, you will belong to an expansive network of successful alumni all across the country. Even prior to that, the relationships and network that you can build as a McKinley Tech Trainer can be life-changing.

McKinley Tech will provide you will all of the tools and opportunities that you need to be successful; what you do with those tools and opportunities is truly up to you.

Are you ready to become the best version of yourself? Are you ready to be a part of DCPS' #1 STEM School? If you are up to the challenge? If so, we’re ready to help you along the way.
